As the Social Media Manager for Downtown Lethbridge BRZ, I was at the forefront of showcasing the energy, culture, and businesses that make downtown Lethbridge thrive. Through content creation, photography, videography, and telling the stories of people of downtown, I honed the organization's digital presence into a dynamic hub for community engagement and local business support.
I developed and executed a content strategy tailored to highlight the vibrancy of downtown Lethbridge. This included:
I worked alongside a team of ambassadors to market and promote over 500 local businesses, but I was the only graphic designer on the team. Through tailored campaigns, I showcased local entrepreneurs, shops, and restaurants, fostering a sense of community and encouraging people to shop, dine, and explore downtown.
As part of the Downtown Lethbridge Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ) team, I was responsible for managing and enhancing the organization’s social media presence across various platforms. I specialized in photography, video production, and creating engaging social media content through videos and photos, using tools such as Lightroom, Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve to deliver high-quality visuals. Meta Business Suite was used for all publishing across Instagram and Facebook.
I led marketing initiatives to bolster the visibility and success of over 500 local businesses, showcasing their unique offerings through business spotlights, ‘People of Downtown’ interviews, and tailored copywriting. My work involved crafting compelling blog posts and social media updates that captured the vibrancy of the downtown area, as well as the essence of local events, businesses, and community stories. Through strategic content creation and digital storytelling, I increased community engagement, drove foot traffic to local businesses, and contributed to the ongoing revitalization of downtown Lethbridge.
